On the 25^th Anniversary of the establishment of Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, we are pleased to announce the commencement of our center of excellence in the treatment of patients with liver diseases. The Centre for Liver Disease and Transplantation (CLDT), Apollo Hospitals, Chennai is an interdisciplinary group dedicated to treatment of, and research in liver, biliary and pancreatic diseases.

 Aim:   

 ·         The Liver Centre aims to become a ‘one stop shop’ for patients with chronic liver disease as well as Hepatobiliary & pancreatic disorders by providing multidisciplinary comprehensive evaluation at our ‘Liver Clinics’. These liver clinics house several specialists of the liver simultaneously under one roof. This saves patients’ time & effort by reducing the number of visits & consultation encounters. These multidisciplinary clinics will be held at the various Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, viz. Apollo Hospital Greams road, Apollo Speciality hospital, Nandanam and Apollo First Med hospital, Poonamalee high road.   

 ·         Following evaluation, the patient returns to the primary consultant with our suggested ‘road map’ for further treatment and follow-up schedule thus providing a second opinion to patients with suspected liver conditions at a very affordable cost.
